What is the Psychology Student Alliance (PSA) ?

    * The Psychology Student Alliance (PSA) works in conjunction with Psi Chi, Psychology's National Honor Society. PSA was created to provide an opportunity for underclassmen and anyone else interested in the science of Psychology to become involved in the psychological community here at Colorado State University. Through the resources provided by this organization, those interested in psychology can learn more about and develop their interst in the field.

     * PSA is espcially important for underclassmen in the psychology program. It provides opportunities for Psychology majors to learn more about graduate school process and other relevant topics. It also introduces many of the students to the Psychology Department's Faculty and staff at this university. This familiarity with the department increases the student's opportunities with regard to research and teaching assistantships, and the networks createdi n this fashion will be crucial in the graduate admissions process.

    * Finally, PSA serves as somewhat of a springboard into Psi Chi, Psychology's National Honor Society. Becoming involved in the PSA community is the same as becoming involved in the Psi Chi community, so when a student is applying for membership into Psi Chi, a strong relationship with the PSA is a somewhat of a prerequisite.

     * Creating, maintaining, and bolstering a student's interest in psychology is PSA's main goal. We hope to encourage and strengthen relationships between anyone and everyone interested in the vast collection of Knowledge that psychology brings to our everyday life and world. With the expansion of thoughts, ideas, and relationsips, the Psychology Student Alliance contributes a great deal to the development and advancement of psychology in this ever expanding and demanding modern world.
